My message to the brave people of Iran.

February 14 is the Global Day of Action in solidarity with Iran's Lion-and-Sun Revolution. Join us in Munich, Los Angeles, Toronto, or your own city to demand urgent action from the international community.

My words today are for all the families whose loved ones have been murdered by this criminal regime. As a father, as a husband, I feel your pain deep in my heart, and I share in your grief.

Today, as we remember the victims of the Holocaust, we urgently call on the free world not to let another massacre go unanswered.

I welcome the Italian government's position on proscribing the IRGC and thank Foreign Minister @Antonio_Tajani for advancing this in Brussels. It is time to act decisively in support of the brave people of Iran fighting to free the world from the Islamic Republic's terror.

My message to the physicians, nurses, and healthcare workers of Iran who stand with the people in these difficult days.

Your large and remarkable marches in recent days, in all corners of the world, from Australia to across Europe, to Canada and the United States, have given strength and hope to our brave compatriots in our occupied homeland. Your voice is the voice of the Iranian nation.

Today I am speaking to Ali Khamenei, the leader of the regime occupying Iran. You are an anti-Iranian criminal. You have neither honor nor humanity.

Approximately 50 percent of working age women are represented in the labor force globally, compared to 76 percent of men. Moreover, an overwhelming majority of women are in the informal economy — subsidizing care and domestic work, and concentrated in lower-paid, lower-skill occupations with little or no social protection. The lifting of international economic and financial sanctions, which were imposed on the people of Iran as a result of provocative and destabilizing policies of the theocratic regime, could be a reason to rejoice.
