Great Nation of Iran,
Great Nation of Iran,
Your firm and informed rejection of the Islamic Republic and its farcical elections has dealt a heavy blow to this evil and illegitimate regime. It has united the ranks of patriots and freedom seekers and has exacerbated the internal divisions within the regime.
Because of this, the desperate regime has mobilized all its forces and tools, launching a campaign based on deceit and fear. They are attempting to drag people to their fake ballot boxes in the second round of their electoral circus, trying to at least partially recover from the significant defeat they have suffered. The foundation of this campaign of deceit and fear is the same old lie of "the lesser of two evils." But after four decades of trial and error, is there even a "lesser evil" for the people of Iran?
Thousands of executions over the past 45 years, the massacre of protesters in Mashhad, Qazvin, and Islamshahr in the early 1990s, the serial killings of dissidents at home and abroad, the crime of attacking university dormitories and suppressing student protests, the massacre of protesters during the Green Movement and the nationwide uprisings of December 2017 and November 2019, the downing of the Ukrainian airliner, and the brutal suppression of the Mahsa uprising—all occurred during periods when different factions of the regime, under the labels of "Imam's Line," "Reformist," "Moderate," and "Principalist," were in power. These factions share equal responsibility for prolonging the Iran-Iraq war with the goal of "conquering Qods," the mass killing of the Coronavirus pandemic under Khamenei's direct orders, and disasters such as Plasco, Metropol, and the Sanchi oil tanker.
Just look at the past decade: what has been the outcome and achievement of voting? Temporary relief for the Islamic Republic and Khamenei from the deadlock following its legitimacy crisis during the Green Movement, followed by more corruption, theft, inflation, unemployment, executions, massacres, repression, and imprisonment. In this context, the role of the "Reformists" and "Moderates," who themselves admit to being the "safety valve" and "moat" of the system, has been to label the protesters of December 2017 and November 2019 as "vultures, rioters, troublemakers, and opportunists"; to shamelessly say that they shot at both the heads and legs of the protesters; to whitewash the Islamic Republic's crimes to foreigners; to take pride in putting Iran under pressure and sanctions for supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Bashar Assad; and ultimately to claim that "the people of Iran have chosen to live this way."
Even today, a candidate of the so-called "Reformists" and "Moderates" has a record of purges and the unlawful imposition of compulsory hijab in hospitals and universities during the first weeks and months after the fateful February 1979 revolution, and he takes pride in this dark record. This individual, over the past two decades, having served multiple terms as a member of the regime’s parliament, has signed inhumane and anti-Iranian bills such as "Commanding Good and Forbidding Wrong," government action against women who defy the mandatory hijab, and strengthening the oppressive and terrorist Revolutionary Guards for anti-Western and anti-Israeli purposes. Even today, he openly states that he will be an unconditional executor of Khamenei's orders and policies.
My fellow compatriots,
I am confident that you have reached a level of maturity and awareness that you will no longer be deceived by hollow promises. You well know that graft and corruption, theft, and nepotism have existed in all governments of the Islamic Republic. 40% and 50% inflation, unemployment, the devaluation of the national currency, reduced purchasing power, shrinking dinner tables, and the continuous increase in those living below the poverty line have been the achievements of all governments of the Islamic Republic, whether Reformist or Principalist. Internet shutdowns and filtering, the morality police, and the crackdown on women and youth for wanting to be free and live have continued and increased under all governments of the Islamic Republic.
The goal of both Reformist and Principalist factions in the Islamic Republic regime is to loot more resources and wealth from the people and to take a larger share of the "revolution's spoils." In this context, "when a thief comes with a lantern, he chooses the best goods."
In conclusion, I address those who, for any reason or justification, whether out of fear and desperation or out of hope, participated in the first round of this Election Circus: Set aside false fear and hope, and join the overwhelming majority who consciously and bravely said no to the Islamic Republic this year and displayed that magnificent national solidarity. Join the families of the martyrs of Iran's national revolution from December 2017 to November 2019 to the Mahsa uprising. Stand by political prisoners of various backgrounds. Do not let them kill our youth and children in your name and with your vote. Do not let them use your name and your vote to spend our national wealth on terrorists and criminals in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, dragging the region and the world into war and chaos. Do not let them use your name and your vote to increase the price of water, bread, and gasoline. Leave the wolves to their fate. Let them tear each other apart. Do not participate in this ridiculous circus. This Friday, go to parks and recreational areas, to beaches or mountains with your family and friends, and celebrate this national victory together. Your path to freedom does not pass through the regime's fake ballot boxes but through continued resistance and civil disobedience. Soon, I will speak more with you about the roadmap to victory.
Long live Iran
