First Advisory Opinion of the Transitional Justice Committee Message, May 15, 2026

My dear compatriots,
In these days when you stand with such courage against the regime occupying Iran, this hated and isolated system continues to violate the lives and property of the people, in order to delay its certain downfall for a little while longer. In such circumstances, I see it as my duty to draw a clearer picture of justice in the Iran of tomorrow for those who collaborate with the criminals.
To that end, I asked the "Committee for Drafting the Rules of Transitional Justice for Iran" to provide its advisory opinion on two important matters: first, the criminal responsibility of those who collaborate with the repressive structures of the Islamic Republic; and second, the confiscation of the property of protesters and their families.
The committee has now issued its first advisory opinion, and its message is clear: these acts are not simple or insignificant forms of cooperation; rather, they constitute "aiding and abetting a crime against humanity." No office, no order, and no excuse can remove an individual's criminal responsibility. Therefore, anyone who knowingly and willingly collaborates with the regime's repressive structures, whether inside or outside Iran, must know that they will be exposed to criminal responsibility:
whether that collaboration takes the form of reporting or informing;
whether it takes the form of participating in checkpoints;
whether it takes the form of using children and adolescents in the suppression of protesters;
and whether it takes the form of acquiring, transferring, or buying and selling property confiscated from protesters and their families during the crackdown.
Thus, not only those who play a role in ordering, carrying out, or facilitating these confiscations will be held responsible, but those who knowingly and willingly buy and sell this property must also answer for it. This responsibility also includes the use of their property or assets to compensate for the damage inflicted on the rightful owners.
I therefore warn all those who today seek to collaborate with the regime's apparatus of repression: before you take any action that inflicts harm on the lives, property, or social standing of the people of Iran, think of your own future and that of your family. Think of the day when Iran will be free; the day when the truth will not stay hidden; the day when the names will come to light; the day when no aggressor or criminal will be safe from accountability before the law.
On that day, the nation of Iran will have a government that honors the rights of Iranians and turns Iran into a free and flourishing land.
Long live Iran,
Reza Pahlavi
